Question by anonymous: What is a holistic or over-the-counter remedy for a sneezing bird?
I have a cockatiel who has recently been sneezing with a discharge more than a few times a day. I am going to take him to the an avian vet soon, but I just wanted to know if there are any holistic remedies for what seems to be a cold. I know of many for dogs which work, but none for a sneezing bird.

yeah, i have a couple of tiels who do the same. it’s cause they get powder down in their nostrils, I find when they start sneezing real bad put them in a hot shower, dont get them wet, just allow them to get the warm moist air. humidity also helps with their grooming.
